Meet Our Doctors

We are excited to welcome Dr Juluri to Springfield Periodontics and Dental Implants so that the tradition of “Excellence in Health Care” can be continued in Springfield. Although he is new to Springfield Periodontics he comes with years of experience.

Dr Ravichandra (Ravi) Juluri completed dental school in India and practiced general dentistry in India and Nepal. He also taught at the College of Medical Sciences in Nepal before moving to the US in 2002. He has continued his education receiving a certificate in Periodontics and Oral Implantology along with a M.S. in Oral Biology from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA. He has contributed to science and practice of dentistry by teaching implantology at Meharry Medical College where he received the 2009 Educator of the year from the American Academy of Periodontology. He has published multiple research and case reports in major dental journals and evaluates dental products for Dental Product Shopper and Dental advisor and has designed instruments for surgical and non-surgical periodontal treatment. Dr. Juluri is very involved in the Illinois State Dental Society, building into the future of the profession. He has also served those in need as a volunteer dentist for Red Cross dental camps in Nepal and as a Remote Area Medical volunteer dentist in Nashville.

Dr. Juluri enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, traveling and movies.

Dr. Davis (Of Consel) served the Springfield area for 35 years. Dr. Davis completed a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana Illinois. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Southern Illinois University in 1980, graduating at the top of his class. His residency in Periodontics was completed at the University of Tennessee and the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Memphis Tennessee. He is been in the practice of Periodontics in Springfield, Illinois since 1986.

Dr. Davis is passionate about helping patients achieve oral health and understand their options for treatment. His mission statement is “Excellence in Health Care.” Oral health is closely linked to overall health and well being. By providing excellence in periodontal care and implant dentistry, he is helping his patients live healthier, more comfortable and productive lives.

Continuing education is a big part of Dr. Davis’ practice. He believes that in order to provide the best possible care for his patients he must be a committed lifelong learner. He also realizes he has a responsibility to share his knowledge and experience with others so he regularly attends and teaches continuing education classes.

Dr. Davis and his wife have four children, three son-in-laws, and seven grandchildren.

In Loving Memory

     Dr. Angela C. Davis Siterlet DMD, MS, 33, of Pleasant Plains, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 in an automobile accident.

     She was born on June 26, 1988 in Springfield, IL, the daughter of Dr. James W. and Christie M. (Melchior) Davis. She married Joshua Siterlet on March 13, 2010 in Springfield. She attended Springfield Christian School and graduated from Pleasant Plains High School (2006). She received her Bachelor of Science at University of Illinois at Springfield (2010) and her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine (2014), where she received several awards for her clinical excellence. She then continued her education, completing a residency in periodontics and master’s degree in science from Saint Louis University in 2017.

     Angie was a very devoted mother to her 3 children, a loving wife, a caring daughter, and a best friend to her sisters and brother. She is survived by her husband Josh; her 3 children, Charlotte (age 5), William (age 3), and Levi (age 1); her parents, Dr. James and Christie Davis; 3 siblings; Jennifer (husband Brad) Ward of Fishers, IN, Bethany (husband Jake) Mumbower of Springfield, and Joshua James Davis of Cooper City, FL; her grandparents, Paul and Vicky Davis of Springfield, and Rev, Edward and Jackie Melchior of St. Louis, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

     Angie worked as a periodontist and partner with her father at Springfield Periodontics and Dental Implants. She was a member of Cherry Hills Church, the Illinois State Dental Society, the G.V. Black Dental Society, the American Association of Women Dentists, and earned the honor of Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology; a certification signifying significant achievement beyond the mandatory educational requirements for the specialty of periodontics. Angie was a respected professional in the dental community and loved by her staff, patients, and colleagues.
